WebMail solution as a service for security provider

Over the years of using our Webmail solution as part of their service, one of our clients returned to us with several bright ideas on how to expand its functionality to fit their needs best. This project is PrivateMail.com — a service by TorGuard, a security provider (named #1 VPN for File-Sharing & Torrenting by VPN.com) that offers secure communications channels.

The expansion ideas included new payment plans, streaming media with password protection, UI extensions, secure links, new ways to access encrypted data, mail and admin functionality extension, and other stuff.

We ended up making a complete integrated system with end-to-end encryption, so the encryption keys are stored only on users’ devices, meaning no one, not even the provider itself, can decrypt the data.

For this platform, we also developed iOS/Android Mail and Files clients with AES-256 and PGP support.

Thousands of subscribers use the service daily, and we’re continuing the maintenance and support.
